kinda boring day. chem 8-12:30. quiz then lab. then checked my mail and came back here. did some homework. fucking calculus. brandon and i spent so much time working on that 1 fucking problem before we finally figured it out. then pretty much sat up here all night. did some work and some crunches. then watched the OC in the common room with some of the girls, followed by more work. then just finished watching "the sweetest thing" with tricia and fariha. cute movie, really funny. but it kinda made me sad cuz parts of it reminded me of my own life. brought back some less than happy memories that i had almost forgotten about til now. oh well. today was a tough day. but i only have one class tomorrow, and saturday night is going to be awesome!!! but now i need to sleep.

early day. chem 9-12:30. hung around the room. took a nice long nap. watched some tv. had dinner with the girls. came back to the room and watched more tv. then eventually stopped procrastinating and got my LIM reading done. then hung around some more. talked to peter. studied for the calc quiz that i may or may not have tomorrow. now im watching phantom. when its over im going to bed. woo. lifes exciting huh? class, tv, homework, sleep. *yawn* cant wait til the weekend. partying! but yeah. i love this movie so im going to watch it now.

ugh. today wasnt actually bad, but tonight really sucked. i got to sleep in this morning. then had calc. got back my first quiz. 95! only a 75 on the homework, but that was actually one of the higher grades. and i suck at life and cant draw 3-d things to save my life. haha. anyway, then came back to the room and procrastinated for an hour and a half, then hurried off to LIM. that class is sooooo long. an hour and 40 minutes in there feels like forever. ugh. but after that i hung out with some of the other LIM kids for a few minutes, then came back to the room and actually started working. spent 5 hours on my chem lab. blech. then after some minor technical difficulties, printed it out on tricias computer. i love guys who understand technlogy. lol. then spent the next hour on my regular chem homework. now im quite tired and sick of working. i have like all afternoon tomorrow to work, so im not doing any more tonight. blah. so tired. and sore. from sitting here hunched over the computer, then hunched over my book. my poor back. ow. im gonna stop complaining and go now. blah.

sleeping in this morning was so nice. got up and cooked with my mom. then got ready and did a lot of packing. drove back to schenectady. my mom and i had dinner at this cool restaurant called nothing but noodles. it was really good. then back to union. carried a bunch of shit up to my room. our fridge is full now! its so exciting! lol. and clean clothes. :) and my big purple big e tiger is living on my bed. he matches perfectly. hehehe. it was so nice to see brit and kelly and corinne, but its nice to be back with my 4th floor girls too! i love all my friends <3! anyway, i guess i should stop writing now. i should be writing my chem lab report, but ummmmm no. thats what tomorrow night is for. i did all my calc and lim homework tonight. thats enough. now im talking to peter, then ill probably go down the hall for a while. so yeah, im done. goodnight.

today was so fun! i got up (late lol). got ready. brit came over at 11:30, and i finished getting ready while we shared some interesting stories. then picked corinne up, after passing this stupid old lady doing 35 in a 50 zone. wtf mate? annoying... so said hi to corinnes parents and neffy, then grabbed corinne and went back to my house. went in for a couple minutes, met up with kelly, and i drove the 4 of us to the big e. we parked in the old ames parking lot, for only $5. hiked to the gate, paid, and went in. then we got food (baked potato, clam cakes, mini donuts, lemon ice, french fries, etc), played games (i won a purple tiger on the game where you shoot water, and i was proud of myself cuz i was playing against my 3 friends and like 6 or so other ppl lol, and then i got lucky and won a bear on the birthday dice game), checked out the state houses, did the house of mirrors lol, saw the animals, went down the big slide, and came up with a plan for the great big e tire heist. then we got spots to wait for the mardi gras parade to start, but it was starting to rain a little, so we started walking closer to where we came in. then it started to rain hard, so we ducked under a little ledge above a restaurant to wait for the parade. turns out they cancelled the parade, but we stayed to wait out the rain, cuz it was sufficiently pouring. eventually we gave up and sprinted for the first state building. got there totally drenched. brit and kel went to buy mardi gras beads (since we couldnt catch them), while corinne and i quested for plastic bags for our stuff. we all met up and walked thru the torrential downpour to the vermont building. i bought cheese and maple candy (not to be eaten together), to bring to college for snacks. then the rain had stopped, so we walked to the car, which meant walking thru a small swamp (aka a puddle that came halfway up to our knees). so we were just a bit wet. got in the car and drove back to westfield. i dropped corinne off, then drove back to my house. kelly went home, but brit came in. i gave her dry clothes to wear and we changed. then put her clothes in my dryer and i made us hot chocolate and we watched my big fat greek wedding. then brit had to go home. i had birthday cake with my mom and brother, and we watched armageddon. (i highly doubt i spelled that right). now im getting ready for bed. today was so fun though! yay! but im really tired, and full, cuz we all know the big e is all about the food lol. so yeah, its bedtime.

sleeping til 10:30 this morning was so nice. got ready early and picked up the freshman record, checked my mailbox, and did some shopping in the bookstore. got my mom a "union college mom" mug for her b-day. had calc 12-1:10. then came back to the room and got ready. my dad picked me up at 1:30 and we drove back to MA. came home for a few, then went to my brothers football game, which they won. go bombers! came home, had dinner, watched troy. just finished ordering the rest of my moms b-day present, my brothers present, and my dads early present online. cant say what it is, it would ruin the surprise ;). my brother might read this lol. now im going to bed. big e tomorrow!!!!!!!
and i should probably add that my fourth floor girls took my shot virginity last night ;).

speed update:
yesterday - calc, hw, LIM, dinner with LIM kids, more hw, safety lecture *shoots self in head*, walking home alone in the dark!, hw, hanging out
today - up early. 8 am class. ick. chem lecture then lab, chem orientation/chem club (free pizza!), hw, ambassador program (aka hosting prospective students) meeting (free union folding frisbees that i cant fold, even though gordy showed me like 5 times), little hw (mostly procrastinating), OC party with 4th floor girls in the lounge, which got interrupted by a fire drill, then more OC and chinese food, then more procrastinating and hanging out, which included watching a lot like love. very cute movie. but now its 1. get to sleep til 10 tomorrow!

so today. early day. got up at 7:45. chem lab 9-12:30. then grabbed lunch on my way back to my room. hung out here for a while. did a brief amount of homework. watched some tv. did the dinner thing with the 4th floor girls. saw rory farrell, actually for the 3rd time since i've been here. still havent bothered to say hi, but maybe at some point. too weird though... then smuggled food up to my room. watched raymond, then gilmore girls with tricia and beth. apparently its another one of those shows everyones obsessed with here. lol. its pretty good though. then buckled down and did all my LIM reading. just finished. now its bed time. oh, and for those coming to the big e on saturday, we're meeting at my house at 12:30, and i guess im driving, which is fine since by then it'll have been 2 weeks since i've driven. cant wait til this weekend, its gonna be so fun! lateer day tomorrow, but i should still sleep. goodnight.

slept til 10:30 today. had calc and lim. then hung out with some girls down the hall, followed by dinner together. i managed to swipe a bottle of lemonade, 2 apples, 2 bananas, a cookie, and a grilled cheese sandwich from the dining hall. lol. i have old-granny purse syndrome (from now on refered to as OGPS), and i love it! mwahahaha! its nice having snacks in the room though. and everyone else does it, just not as well. lol. so then i came back here, and basically spent the rest of the night reading the da vinci code. such an awesome book! i have like 1 chapter left, which im going to read momentarily, then im off to bed. early day tomorrow, first class is at 9. so i guess thats all. goodnight!

ok, quick update while im online, then homework. didnt end up going to bed til 2 friday night (or saturday morning), so i slept really late yesterday. then went to brunch with a bunch of the 4th floor girls. spent the afternoon doing some homework and reading the da vinci code and just relaxing. then a bunch of the girls went to dinner, then the football game. we got lawn seats and hung out in the grass watching what we could see of the game. we only stayed for the first half, but we got free travel mugs lol. then we walked back to west and got ready to go out. around maybe 10-ish we left. walked over to sigma phi. spent a few hours at the frat party. it was so fun. i only had one beer, but everyone else had quite a few. we danced like idiots all night lol. then we left there around 1-ish, trying to act nonchalant cuz campus safety was around. made it back to west without any problem, then climbed to the 4th floor. this proved to be a bit of a challenge for some of the more intoxicated girls lol. then changed into our pjs and hung around a bit. met up with a couple other people, walked around the floor, danced some more, played beirut (aka beer pong) in the guys lounge, etc. basically just hung out with a bunch of people from our floor. it was really fun. finally climbed into bed around 3. it was such a fun night! and i just got back from brunch, and have plenty of reading to do before class tomorrow, so im off to do that.

well, its almost midnight on a friday night, and im sitting alone in the common room listening to maroon 5 and typing this. tonight was a long night. i watched the first 3 innings of the baseball game, then gave up and went to the room across from mine to hang out with a bunch of people. they were all drinking, and like 3 were so smashed. it was actually really fun. then went outside cuz we were gonna go to a frat party, but this one kid was so drunk we had to take him to his cousins room so she could take care of him. so a couple people took him, and the rest of us waited for them to come back. we stood outside for about an hour, then we gave up and went to check on him and 2 others. once we were sure they were all gonna be ok, we came back to the room across from mine. and everyone else just left to go to parties, but im tired and not really in the mood anymore. i'll go drink tomorrow night. just gonna relax tonight i guess. maybe watch a movie. i dunno. but thats about all i have to say. so ill write again tomorrow or sometime...

so last night wasnt too exciting. me and my badass 4th floor girls stole chocolate cake from the dining hall. lol. then tricia and i watched the season premiere of the OC. callie, you'll be proud. im going to be an oc addict very soon, everyone here is. lol. so last night was pretty relaxing. then today i had calc. its gonna be interesting if nothing else. the actual calculus looks interesting. the teachers so weird though. hes a nerdy little prick really. if you met him, you'd get it. he reminds me of one of those stereotypical nerdy professors from tv. but he seems like hed be nice if i ever felt like talking to him. but his class is only an hour 3 times a week and its at 12. so i slept til 10:30, so nice. then hung around my room for a while. then went to calc. then checked my mail. i had a package lol. so i had to pick it up. it was so exciting lol. but it was just my contacts. good to have, but not too exciting. spent about an hour and a half doing some reading for my LIM class. then watched tv. then went to the club expo with some of the girls. signed up for Pre-Health Society and Chem Club. lol. im such a dork, but it looks like fun. we got free food, then came back to the dorms. now im in the lounge cuz the wireless works better here. hanging out with a few girls. doing a baseball party tonight. watching the red sox-yankees game in the lounge. ill be one of few (if any) sox fans. should be interesting. lol. so i guess thats about it. any day now they'll fix my internet connection, so i'll be able to get on regularly. grr. so i guess im gonna go now. gonna send mrs mundy an email lol. my mom saw her at the high school open house and she said she missed me, so im gonna email her. then maybe do some more work. ill write later, if i can get on.

oops. lol. and i didnt update last night, so here it is briefly. had my first day of classes. got up at 10:30 lol. so nice. took my time, got ready, had breakfast in my room. then went to calc. the teachers pretty anal. i swear he talked for 10 minutes about the proper way to staple. lol. and we hafta explain all our work in writing on every paper we do. ick. oh well. should be interesting anyway. then came back to my room and went to lunch with tamar and some other girls. then health systems. that class is gonna be crazy. we already have a 15 page paper and debates to start working on. but no regular homework other than tons of reading. that one will be tough though. but i guess it is a graduate course, so it should be. not looking forward to writing that paper though *cringe*. so after that i grabbed dinner with fariha. then came up to my room and pretty much spent the entire night working on the insane amount of chemistry homework my professor emailed us. weird to have homework due on the first day of class. and rather annoying. thats why i didnt update last night. didnt finish til like 12:30. ick. but it wasnt too hard. just long.
had to get up really early today: like 6:45. ewww. had chem from 8-12:30 basically. went for the first hour of lecture, then she gave us a break so i got a snack in reamer. then came back and did a lab. pretty simple and actually kinda fun. then answered some questions, turned them in, and came back here. megan asked me to walk somewhere with her, so i did. then stopped at the campus center on the way back to grab lunch. only ended up eating the soup. maybe i'll have the sandwich for dinner, or a meal tomorrow or something. its kinda hanging out in my fridge at the moment. so i have no more classes today. but plenty of work to do. so i guess ill be doing that now.

be jealous of my easy schedule. lol. actually, its not easy. both the chem and calc courses are higher level courses cuz i placed out of the regular level. and the intro to health systems (from now on refered to as lim) is actually a graduate course. plus, we're doing the amount of coursework most colleges cover in 15 weeks in 10 weeks. so its not an easy courseload, but the schedule isnt bad at all. only 2 days a week i hafta get up before 11. and all but 2 days im done before 1:30. thats why unions a party school. tons of free time. lol. im up for some partying, as long as i get my homework done during the day. so yeah. classes start tomorrow. im getting up at like 10:30 lol. i love this. hehehe. and ill do well cuz ill be awake. yay! i <3 sleep. but i guess im just kinda rambling now. i'll go listen to music or watch tv with tricia before bed. goodnight everyone!

ok guys. finally, an update. sorry i havent been online or updated or anything, but my internet jack isnt working. i finally got gordon (the cute RA on my floor) to look at it, but he couldnt fix it so he called ITS (information technology services) and they havent called back. so im currently signed into the wireless network as a guest. which will work for now, but i dont think i can use AIM on it (at least, its not working now) and i can only be on for an hour and a half at a time. annoying, but at least im on.
anyway, so i got up at 6 am on sunday, got ready, finished packing, and drove to Schenectady. once i got here, my brother and father started bringing my stuff upstairs (im on the 4th floor lol) while my mom and i went to my minerva (complicated harry potter-like system where everyone has a minerva house) to pick up my room key. finished unpacking and trying to get settled. then had to go get my picture taken for my ID (which i got this morning) and sign in to the college and get my orientation packet. then spent a little more time in my room before going off to all those boring meetings and lectures that go along with orientation. and our little picnic lunch in the grass in front of my dorm. my family was driving me crazy, like worse than usual. but it was still kinda sad when they left around 4. but i had to hurry to meet with my OA, where our group played stupid circle games, like the skittle game and the game where you run around in the wet grass with only one shoe on and your sock gets soaked thru. very pleasant. then after that, they gave us dinner. then back to the room for a little while. then off to the nott memorial (which is the coolest building ever, you should all come visit just to see it) for the class picture, which was just obnoxious. then we had a floor meeting. which meant all the frosh on our floor (which is half girls half guys by the way) sat on the floor in the middle of the hall while our RAs (gordon, the cute one, and ashleigh, who is so sweet) talked to us about rules and stuff. then more meetings and lectures. then our RAs had a floor ice cream party, followed by vase decorating for the girls in the lounge on our side of the floor. so we put cheap paint on cheap plastic vases and ashleigh gave us all carnations. it was so fun lol. then tricia (the roomie) and i watched dirty dancing: havana nights til 2 am.
then yesterday we had some free time in the morning. then got brunch and went to another OA meeting, even more boring than the first day. just filled out a long boring survey. then another stupid lecture, then a long boring tour of the campus. then we had some free time before another lecture, but this one was actually pretty interesting. then we had dinner at our minervas (mines called sorum, or yellow, house). then i walked around with beth and matt to some of the others for different activities. i tye-dyed a shirt and raced matt thru one of those inflatable obstacle courses. it was so fun. then we came back to west (our residence hall). me and beth went to a party in matts room for like 20 minutes. matts roommate, trevor, is a raging drunk. we walked in and theres an entire cooler full of empty beer cans. lol. and a bunch of other people hanging around drinking. everyones really nice, except trevor who's kinda scary. he hasnt been sober one night since he got here. he starts drinking at like 2 pm lol. almost everyone drinks, but its cool. i didnt have anything yet. i dont really mind. i think like 1 or 2 is cool. but id only been here one night, so not just yet. later on i probably will. then beth and matt went to do laundry, and me and tricia went to beths room to watch friends with her roomie, one of our other friends, megan. ended up watching friends and dawsons creek til about 1 i think.
today tricia and i overslept by like an hour. so i quickly got ready, got my ID, then went to a meeting with my advisor and all of the other kids in the LIM program. there are 16 of us this year! thats so small. im shocked. they usually take like 20, 24 last year. i think its so cool to be one of 16 kids who got into the program. the meeting was just about all the requirements for the program. its absolutely crazy. i wont even get into it here cuz no one will understand, i barely do. then i had lunch with a bunch of the LIM kids. everyones nice. then went upstairs and ended up going to the bookstore with beth, matt, and tricia. then had my orchestra audition. im not the only tuba player who auditioned, so i wont know yet if i made it or not. then took care of some other stuff i had to do. and now im here writing this. later im going to dinner, then to the convocation thing. then probably hanging with tricia, beth, megan, and matt again.
lets see... what else? ummm... im on the top bunk. its weird, but seems to work well. i have 8 books for 3 classes. haha. thats exciting. and basically lifes been pretty good. the first couple days were tough, not knowing anyone and trying to remember names and find people i knew. but now i kinda know most of the LIM kids, and i have a few friends on my floor. so things are pretty good. classes start tomorrow, i'll post my schedule later. i guess thats about it. this was a long entry. if anyone wants to talk, i probably cant talk long, but i have my phone on, and nights are the best. if i dont answer just try me back. peters called me a couple times. its nice to hear from people. and the weirdest thing happened. i called my father. and he sounded like really happy to talk to me. he kept saying how much they missed me and he actually told me he loved me. so weird. i dont think hes said that to me in years. after all the complaining he was doing about money, and driving, and moving me in, and going to those stupid lectures, and everything, it was weird to hear him say he missed me. he never seemed to care that i was leaving. it was nice though. so i guess i'll stop writing now. hopefully my internet will actually work soon. love you all!
